Oil
Change

An oil change is the single most important maintenance item for your engine. Clean oil reduces friction, removes contaminants, and keeps internal components from wearing prematurely. Skip it or stretch the interval too far, and you're looking at sludge buildup, accelerated wear, and eventually catastrophic engine damage.

At Mint Hill Automotive, we don't rush through oil changes. We use the correct oil weight and filter for your specific vehicle, inspect the undercarriage while we're under there, and top off all fluids. Every oil change includes a basic visual inspection at no extra charge.

Not all oil is the same. We match the oil weight and spec to your manufacturer's requirements — not whatever's cheapest on the shelf.

What's Included

  • Drain old oil completely
  • Replace oil filter with quality OEM-spec filter
  • Refill with correct weight and type (conventional, synthetic blend, or full synthetic)
  • Check and top off all fluids — coolant, brake, power steering, washer
  • Visual inspection of belts, hoses, and undercarriage
  • Tire pressure check and adjustment
  • Reset oil life monitor / maintenance light
  • Dispose of old oil and filter properly

Our Process

01

Check Your Vehicle's Requirements

We look up the exact oil weight, capacity, and filter spec for your year, make, and model. No guessing.

02

Drain & Replace

Old oil is fully drained, old filter removed. New filter installed, correct oil added to the right level.

03

Multi-Point Visual Inspection

While we're under the vehicle, we check for leaks, inspect belts and hoses, and look at brake condition. Anything we find, we tell you.

04

Top Off & Reset

All fluids topped off, tire pressure set, oil life monitor reset. You're good to go.

Warning Signs
to Watch For

Don't wait until your engine is damaged. These are signs it's time for an oil change:

  • Oil change light or maintenance reminder on dashboard
  • Engine oil looks dark black or gritty on the dipstick
  • Engine sounds louder than normal or has a ticking noise
  • Oil level is low between changes
  • It's been more than 5,000 miles (conventional) or 7,500 miles (synthetic) since your last change
  • You can't remember when your last oil change was
